GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN
TO ENLIST COUNTY COMMISSIONERS:
| Individual County Commissioners and
entire County Boards need to hear from all of us encouraging them to
speak up to the Legislators for themselves about forced annexation.
More Counties need to join Rowan, Lenoir, Davidson, Brunswick, New Hanover,
Buncombe, Forsyth, Wayne, Polk, and Hoke Counties in passing
Resolutions against forced annexation and delivering them to their
Legislators.
The NC Association of County Commissioners have made it clear over
the years that they are more interested in 'playing ball' with the
NCLM than they are in representing the actual majority of County
Commissioners. Another case of 'the tail waggin' the dog'!
Lenoir and Brunswick County have particularly excellent
resolutions on the initiative of individual Commissioners and Boards.
All of the Resolutions will be made available from this website soon.
It's time for County Commissioners to speak up for themselves AND
the citizens of the County who don't live in the cities. It is critical that the citizens of NC mobilize their County
Commissioners to take a stand on behalf of unincorporated citizens to
the State Legislators.
Real annexation reform has the support of NC Grange, NC Freedomworks, Americans for
Prosperity, NC Property Rights Coalition, local community groups
across NC and others.
The Libertarians have always opposed forced annexation and the NC
Republican Party made opposition to forced annexation a part of their
Party Platform. We need more County Commissioners to take a stand
against it. It’s up to all of us to help make this happen.
Legislators received many Resolutions in Support of Forced
Annexation from city governments, Chambers of Commerce all across NC,

, the NC Planning Association as well as from other major
organizations who are affiliates and lackeys of the NCLM. This was an
orchestrated campaign led by the well oiled machine of the NC League
of Municipalities.
