Welcome to StopGoldsboro.com. This website was initiated by the Good Neighbors United Organization to enable us to reach a broader group of people and clarify our reasons while providing information to our members. On our site, please use the links to the left of the page to navigate. Please sign our online petition to stop forced annexation in North Carolina!

Senators Smith and Moore showed their support for the Good Neighbors United at the rally on April 19th at City Hall. Both Senators urged the citizens to contact their elected officials and voice their support of changes to state annexation laws which currently do not allow the citizens affected by annexations to have a vote.  You can find a list of the local and state officials on our website. Click on Government Contacts  and voice your opinion.

View the map of the intended area to be annexed. There are over 370 homes that are in the affected area. The total area acreage is estimated to be 474.85 with a total of 7 neighborhoods including Fallingbrook Estates, Ashby Hills, Morgan Trace, Buck Run, Pineview Acres, Tarklin Acres, Canterbury Village, along with the residents on the east and west sides of Salem Church Road and north and south sides of Buck Swamp Road. This area is estimated to have 1,120 residents.

Online Petition

One of the strongest ways to have your voice heard in this matter is to sign one of our petitions. The more signatures we collect, the louder our voices are opposing this undemocratic practice.

This online petition is hosted by StopCary.com. This is for all North Carolina residents opposing the policy of forced annexation. This petition will be used to show the state legislature our broad state-wide support.
