Town of Cary Comprehensive Annexation Program – Phase I

The Cary Town Council approved resolutions of intent to annex on November 20, 2008 that begin the Town-initiated annexation process for 10 areas identified as Phase I in the Town’s Comprehensive Annexation Program:

  1. Brookridge
  2. Carpenter Upchurch Road
  3. Country Lane
  4. Evans Road
  5. Hemlock Ridge
  6. Jenks Carpenter Road
  7. Mickey Lane
  8. Pleasant Grove Church Road
  9. Reedy Creek Road
  10. Woodland Acres 

These areas include 195 lots/tracts and make up approximately 433 acres. Approximately 162 residential dwelling units and one non-residential business are included. Nearly all lots/tracts are developed for urban purposes. 

Public Meetings

The Town has scheduled two public information meetings to provide property owners with an opportunity to receive answers to their annexation questions.

All persons residing or owning property within the proposed annexation area and all residents of the Town of Cary will be given an opportunity to be heard on the question of annexation at a February 12, 2009 public hearing at Cary Town Hall during a regular meeting of the Cary Town Council. At this hearing, the Town’s Annexation Reports and Plan of Services will also be reviewed.
